Hi.
I'm planning on a trip from Cali to Pereira by bus. I'm a foreigner.
Someone have told me I must contact road police first to know if the route is safe at that moment.
May I rely on road police advices?
I have a Colombian friend that told me not to worry, because he has never heard of problems in that road and that it is totally safe. He told me that even although we found a guerrilla blockroad, nothing would happen to us.
Is that true?
Thanks in advance.

quindioman says on Dec 13, 2005, 09:49: josergar there are people like your friend that will tell you that it's safe....hang about for a while on this site and you'll get one or two people that will tell you to never take a bus in Colombia (better take a plane).
