Buongone says on Nov 7, 2009, 20:52: Google www.homes.point2.com/co. That's a starter point. Rodadero looks better than SM. Never been there. Going there in Jan. Good Luck.

CakeDesigner-wannabe says on Nov 8, 2009, 03:11: Buongone, thanks. It is easier to write 'Santa Marta' than 'Robadero' because many of them will not know where R is. I was not focusing only on SM .... would consider surroundings.

Buongone says on Nov 8, 2009, 03:16: La Campina. So la Costa is not what you thought it would be. Cali's alot different. Well maybe then you could qualify as an expert.

Chriscan (☼Travelguide writer) says on Nov 9, 2009, 12:49: El Rodelero - gringo infested? I sure never saw many there. What's the name of that barrio on the other side of the highway? Lots of flooding. I was looking for a place there realised that I needed a canoe to get around. I ended up near CISE. Crime was a big problem. Day time break ins about once a month. Beam me up Scotty; No intelligent life here. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Papi de Alejo says on Nov 9, 2009, 13:33: You're probably talking about Gaira. But Cisne? Even my Colombian friends and relatives tell me not to go there because they don't go there? Live simply... Love generously... Care deeply... Speak kindly... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

bickerss says on Nov 9, 2009, 13:37: hardly any gringos in Rodadero - I know 3 living here and saw 2 x gringas (Swiss - who apparantly live here two) in the 4 days we have been around. There was a chiva that came through Saturday with a bunch of gringos (drunk Brit girl riding shotgun on the roof screaming her head off) but soon left back to SM or Taganga. Investment Strategy - buying when others are crying!! Offloading when others are gloating!!! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Buongone says on Nov 10, 2009, 00:24: Papi. That's the little extra type of info I like to see ! I will write it down. look and it and when I go in a couple months. I will know not to go there. I don't know about others here on PBH. I've been reading a Lonely Planet I got today in the mail. Yea I know. (Lonely Planet) There is not too much info about that area opposed to other parts of Colombia covered. But it do's have some good choice's of restaurants and some little hidden spot's that most people would miss. Lobster w/ coconut cream sauce. You don't like it, you don't pay. Las Velas is the name. Anybody been there? Anybody been to the French Restaurant Geoffreys? Or the Hotel Divanga it's located in. Might be worth a few drinks. Possible swim. Has a few other so called little Hidden Gems I will check out. Has a good map of all the beach's of Tayrona. I think I'm going to try that one. But by a boat. Screw that hiking! In the heat! Don't think do. Anybody do Tayrona by boat before? There was a post earlier this year about some guy who did it, but the post was deleted. Thanks. Chao!
