buying a home in cali

Does anyone have any info on what homes are costing in Cali? my fiance is from cali and we want to have a nice 2 or 3 bedroom place to stay when spending the summers visiting her family. Also, if anyone knows any websites for finding homes in Cali, they would be appreciated. This is a wedding surprise for her so i can't ask her what neighborhoods are nice, so if you can give me some areas to look in i would really appreciate it.
thanks.

all kinds of prices depending on the house and the neighborhood. Strata 5-6 houses range between 100-150 million pesos average, strata 4-5 maybe around 60-80 million, and the lower you get in the strata system (the poorer the neighborhood) less expensive the houses. Even so, the prices of the houses in Cali are really low when compared with Bogotá or even Medellín and there's a lot of vacant properties: it's the buyer's market.
I have a house (4 bedroom 4 bathroom) in a nice quiet southern barrio. The taxation price is 60 million pesos, but because of the size and location I should easily get 80 million if I decide to sell it.
I check the classified ads of El Pais on-line to keep up with the development of real estate prices in Cali.

I forgot to say that the apartments and condos are about the same. I'd buy an apartment in conjunto residencial south of the Plaza de Toros, or in the vicinity, even el Ingenio would be interesting depending on how much money I wanted to spend.

La Flora I suggest barrio La Florain the north. You can walk to either Chipichape or Exito in ten to fifteen minutes and Parque La Flora is great (and safe) for jogging. Houses are 100-180 miliones. Best way to find them is walk the neughborhood and ask the vigilantes. They always know what's for sale on their beat.
