Buying a Computer for Colombians

Hey,

I am thinking of buying a computer for a colombian family.

Any one have any comments on their experiences buying online and having it delivered to Colombia????

Any experiences?
virtual exito?
HP?
Acer?
dell?
amazon.com?

Thanks, remember i'm in the far away lands of Australia.

Gracias
Lorenzo

I agree on Dell They make fine stable computers and they are preferred computers in the computer industry itself. In all my software work Dell has given me the least problems.

Dell Dell Dell Dell Did I say Dell? They use good parts for their PCs. Everyone know PC manufacturers don't make anything. They sacrifice quality on hard drives and other parts to make them affordable.

Dell usually has great quality for good prices.

Thanks for the responses! Yes, Dell looks like it could be the winner.

Alhtough I was wondering two more things:
1. How long is delivery from order date?
2. I notice the price does not include IVA or Delivery, any ideas how much those are?

Thanks Guys

Toshiba is another option Not sure if you can have it deliverd to Colombia. Here is there site.

As for service and support, they recently where rated highly. Also, they have two service centers in Bogota. I also have contacts there. Just another option. By the way Dell gets there stuff from China / Tiawan ect. They just slap there name on it. Almost everyone does it. Display Panel, Hard drives, optical drive are the same, just different Firmware.
