Buy Avianca flights without the gringo tax

If you want to buy a flight in Avianca without the gringo tax, I can help you.

Just look up your flight at the Avianca Colombian site and email pbhviajero at gmail dot com with your exact flight details and Colombian price. I will email you back with a paypal request in US dollars at the TRM of the day or UK pounds at the xe.com rate. Once I receive the funds, I'll buy the ticket for you and you'll get the purchase confirmation email directly from Avianca.

I can also help you buy Aerorepublica flights online or even Aires and Easyfly if for some reason you want to (although they do take foreign cards at normal prices).

The cost for you > $12 for one way flights and $20 for roundtrip flights in addition to the final ticket price. You pay the paypal fees if any.

For Brits, £10 for single tickets, and £20 for return flights. You pay the paypal fees.

Give us an example. I would need a R/T ticket from BOG to PEI.
Depart 10 November - Returning 24 November. Dates are flexible.
Please show me the difference using your service.
I am sure that other PBHer's would be interested in the results.
Thanks.

Ronaldo,

All you have to do is look at Aviancas website, configure country of purchase origin as Colombia and see what the cost is then change the country and see what the cost is. There is your difference.

Very entrepeneural viajero! I wish you luck with your new business venture. I hope you don't have any problems with people changing their mind after you make the booking!

I'd be very careful. PayPal generally sides with the buyer, not the seller - regardless of any disclaimer you include with the payment request.

Go for bank deposits or transfers - something a fraud can't take back with the click of the mouse.

ive bought tickets for people before..you can run into problems when they ring up to reconfirm... or you could always get the ticket cancelled.. some airlines will ask to see your credit card at the checkin desk... just to let you know

although viajero seems legit, I wouldn't do it. Too many risks associated. You can book any flight without gringo tax through a travel agent (e.g. Aviatur).

Viajero, Bogotá to Manizales is operated by Avianca in a Fokker 50, I would rather walk than go in one of those, given that it is only 107 miles, I would actually go on my bike.

Glad you are going to Leticia with Gamm2 though, don't forget to take her to Perú for her dinner.
