depending on what you are looking for, there are many apartahotels that will do monthly rentals pretty decent prices. some have better location, amenities, free breakfast, etc...just depends what you want to pay. do you know roughly where you want to live?? i can make some suggestions maybe if u give more info.

it is hard for a foreigner to rent through letting agencies as you need to know people who are prepared to be your guarantor. But having said that, there are loads of places available to rent direct from the owner. That way you don`t have the hassle and paperowrk.

They much prefer renting to foreigners than Colombians. Again look in the local paper.

There are a few good places to play tennis. I always want to play but not many of my firends play.

umm in the north will be a little hard and pricey near windsor..thats in 84..anything above is gomela territory and there are really no apartahotels..only apartments that are expensive and tough to rent. I stayed in a hotel called Prado72 a little lower, but still decent area and close to everything..stayed 1 month for 1mill. they tried to jack me and charge 1.5 and no breakfast but i got it down to a mill. its not bad either. hotelprado72.com if you want cheaper but maybe in little worse location there are plenty and for maybe 600k but no breakfast and no internet in room.

and yes i do play tennis. i am certified PTR-Pro and USTA High Performance Certified Coach, Former D1/semi-pro player on break here, but also showing lessons. Tennis scene is pretty bad in the Atlantico division. The few good boys there were left to train in Bogota...not much else going. There is a small academy below Buenavista though with several very good young players and 1 good Argentinian coach. Lessons and court time are cheap there. If you need contact #'s let me know
