Bush only stays 6 Hours in Bogota

Bush arrived in the nation's capital on Sunday to meet with President Alvaro Uribe in a show of confidence for Uribe and Colombia's battle against narcoterrorists. But the stop was clouded by a political scandal involving Uribe, and security jitters had Bush staying only about six hours.

Now Come On....Only 6 Hours...Thats a shame...

Well... It was announced from the very beginning that the visit would last pretty much that and no more than that. This isn't any "surprise".

Nor do I see how the scandal has "clouded" any of this, when it's not even being discussed today. In fact, the visit is what may temporarily cloud the scandal, if you want to argue something similar.

Plus the security jitters really never factored in that much, if by that you mean the protests that have followed Bush's previous stops as well. Other threats might also exist, but they haven't showed up, at least publicly.

So really now...nothing new here.
