I’m quite amazed at the massive interest generated by the world, regarding president’s Bush visit to Latin America or anywhere . I don’t understand why the same interest is not generated by European leaders?
Were you aware that President Blair from England, Charles De Gaul from France and that broad from Germany visited Colombia on the 3th of March, 2007 or a week before Bush?
It turns out not one single print or TV media cared to covered their visit and not one single Colombian dignitary showed up at the airport in Barranquilla, their first south American city of their 6 day tour.
Because I clean toilets for a prestigious TV station in NYC I knew first hand of their visit and instructed my nephew ( in his 10 year old taxi) to pick them up at the airport and take them to their hotel. Not El Prado, Not Barranquilla Plaza but Hotel Sima where they paid 40 mil pesos a night, following their perspective tight governments budget.
I often ponder as to why no one cares whether European leaders visit their countries or not? And I came to one very simple conclusion, they bring no cash, no money, no dollars, no pesos, NO plata, NO nada, no traen un culo!!
And is not because they are cheap as most would assume, they just DON’T have the massive amount of capital easily available to Uncle Sam (USA) therefore, what they do or say, has no interest to anyone.
