I am wondering of those busetas stopping right on the junctions to pick up passengers. Does anyone know time schedule or/and route map?

magri says on Jul 3, 2009, 23:47: those busetas doesnt have a time schedule... i think is very hard to understand the routes of the busetas. Why dont you use transmilenio; it is faster and it has a time a schedule and a route map

Basically you look at all the places that are listed on the sign and they go in that order. For example, if I want to go from Unicentro to 93 or andino, I go on to 15 and take a bus that says Cra 11 and Cra 13. Because I know it is going to go 15-100-11- 13 and then i can get off at like 93 and 11 or 13 and 85. Or if I want to go to Calle 100 - I take a Ave 68 but because it goes 15 and turns right on 100 untill it gets to 68.

RED DIAMOND CONDOMINIUMS provides travelers the best options when choosing temporary housing, sublets & short term vacation rentals, by supplying fully-furnished apartments for less than a typical hotel room. http://Red-Diamond-Condominiums.webs.com/ 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

gamm2 (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 4, 2009, 08:11: Bill - so that the horrendous traffic in Bogota can be improved. Bus owners already have too much freedom and power in Bogota. They put as many buses as they possibly can on the road because their money comes from the bus drivers who pay to use the buses not the passengers. Therefore it makes no difference to the bus owners if there are no passengers on their buses. How is that good for anyone but the bus owners??

viajero123 (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 4, 2009, 11:40: That also, but before that, they need to improve the quality of diesel, which is pretty dirty and will emit lots of pollutants regardless of the engines. Then add the fact that the busetas have really crappy and old engines.

viajero123 (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jul 4, 2009, 12:17: Johnny, drivers usually get paid a % of each passengers fare that they carry in the buses. At the end of the shift/day they go to a garage and report to the owner or his representative who checks how many passengers went through the turnstile and collects the fare money from the driver, minus his comission. The fact that drivers make money this way just takes competition to the extreme and causes "guerra del centavo".
