Time varies all over the map. I remember one overnight journey took little over 8 hours. I remember one daytime journey took about 16 hours (traffic jammed from Melgar to Bogota).

PC Lover, not true... We once went in 6 hours and a little (very fast!!) during the night back from BOG to CALI.... The way to BOG took about 9 hours (also during the night).
Day trips can take a whole lot more!!!

9hrs 10hrs, are we going to debate that? There is NO WAY in hell I would feel comfortable with a bus driver making the run in 6hrs(is that possible on a bus) and having him drive a bus full of people and going 60-70 mph through the mountains... I would get a sick feeling in my stomach..
