hey! i am currently living in Bucaramanga (Bukara) and i can assure you that a place called "Toscana" is a great place for italian food. It is located in "Terrazas" area, next to a japanese and mexican restaurants and you can get good food for like 10 usd. Another good place for local food is "Mercagan", you can get great great hamburgers there. As far for places to drink, you can find in "Las Palmas" park a great place for cocktails. Dancing depends on what kind of music you like. "Cabecera" area offers a bunch of places you can choose.
I hope you check them out... likely to see me there at some point :)

Enjoy!!

If you are from a city close to the ocean like me (and you can't live without sea food) check out "Mar Azul" and for more local food check out "La Carreta" ;)

Try Mercagan in Cañaveral, they have a menu in English (I know that because I did the translation...lol). Their hamburguers are really good. Toscana is good too with a decent Chilean& Argentinan wine selection. For an acceptable Japanese experience go to Fujiyama (around calle 35 & carrera 33).
Clubs: Mi Pais plays local music and the "seeing" is nice. Rock City bar plays English music. Clock´s have some cool beer cocktails (I recommend Strong beer: beer, tequila, jalapeños and lime in a salt rimmered frosted glass). Bars around "parque de las palmas" are popular. The Dann Carlton actually has a Tony Romas, but I´ve never been there.
