bringing personal goods to colombia by container

who can tell an oldgringo if it's possible to ship a container load of personal items to colombia from afuera. the personal items belong to a colombiana living abroad. taxes???

Container There´s a import duty exemption for colombians who live abroad for more than...I think it´s just one year. She should ask at the colombian consulate / embassy. She can bring one household item (one tv, one sofa, one....). I´ve heard some people have brought their car....

I know electronics / appliance are expensive, but was it worth having them ship instead of buying new ones? I guess since you had no import tax it could of. How much is the import tax on goods like this?
