I am bringing my dog with me to medellin in April and was wondering if anyone has brought a pet into colombia? I have heard some horror stories of people trying to bring there pets abroad. Also I wont have a visa when I enter not sure if that makes a difference with a pet. Any info would be great

How big? If he is a small dog, less than 10lbs, you can even bring him on the cabin with you ( American Airlines is the only one that doesn't let you do this) for a fee, Delta, Copa, Continental and Avianca will let you bring the puppy in the cabin, however, some airlines have embargos due to weather, too hot or too cold, if you bring him as checked luggage, you need to check with the specific airline's website, and you will find the info you need.
