(This is a "brief" guide which means that we think it can use some more detail - leave comments! Written january 2007.)
Jericó lies in the south-east of Antioquia and is a beautiful coffee-region town. Photographers will love it. The houses in Jerico are large with patios and often beautiful decorations. You can see the priest walking around in the typical streets. There's a pretty park with beautiful views on the hill - the climb takes half an hour.
You can stay in the Casa Grande Hotel (Calle 7 No 5-54, tel 852 32 29 or 313 732 35 68, http://www.casagrandehoteljerico.com.co).
Note: this is an extremely brief travel guide, share your experiences in the comments :)

Engineer George says on Mar 28, 2007, 15:32: My trip to Jerico I also have been to Jerico. It was a great experience. Went there to look at some land as an investment but decided it was still too unsafe. However, I enjoyed the hospitality and the scenary. I believe that a saint (female) was either born, lived, or died there. I have to say it was one of the most beautiful and cleanest central parks that I have been to.
