bowling alley

I have updated something I read about a while ago about a bowling alley:

Bogotá gets my vote for South America's best bowling alley. The 'San Francisco Bowling Alley' was opened in 1941 and probably hasn't changed much since then. There is no electronic score board, so you have to keep track by hand. Nor is there a mechanical pin sweeper / ball returner. This is bowling for the purist. After each roll of the ball and the scattering of pins, a young man dutifully sets up the pins again and returns your ball on a metal track. The whole operation only takes a few seconds. It is called bolos san Francisco and is opposite the transmilenio station of Museo de Oro.

Just around the corner in the square is a coffee shop full of character and gringo free, Cafe Pasaje opened in 1930.

I saw that on Caracol Más Cerca and it looks awesome. The pin guys are usually young kids who wait for the pins to fall over and they go and put them back in place as fast as they can. It looked like a very physically demanding job if you'd asked me but it was interesting to see. Would love to see it in person.
