Bottles of beer

My novia's father and I often enjoy a few beers sitting at night on his front porch. His favorite being Aguila. Aguila is alright I guess, I have been know to drink anything that resembles a brew....but I was thinking about bringing him some "good" beer. Or at least what I consider good beer. A couple of questions though.....how many 12 once bottles do you think that I could get through customs?

Any suggestions on types of beer that I should bring him? I think that in general Colombians like lighter beers.....cierto? I was thinking about some of my favorite micro brews. Any suggestions on what a Colombiano would like?

In US maybe, but in England they have many good beers in cans. Guiness is a good suggestion. That draft can they have is great. I love it.

A problem with packing beer in a suitcase is the weight. I've brought back 6 bottles from Belgium before (pack them in your shoes if you hae large enough feet and they'll be well protected) and my suitcase was pretty heavy.

Don't worry about customs, just declare it and they will wave you through, it's not worth their bother getting you to pay a small amount of tax especially while they are on the lookout for mister big.

It sounds like a great gift idea, I've found that Ron Medellin goes down well too.

Good point about the weight. I had a can of aguila break in my suitcase, fortunately a towel soaked up all the beer otherwise there would have been a hell of a mess. For the curious a CD pierced the can.

Would it be worth it do to current weight charges? I'll just stick to Aguila Imperial or Club Colombia
