i don't buy that bull about foreigners coming in to take people's jobs.
I hear the same thing being spouted out by racist englishmen here in the UK....truth is they can't be arsed to get a job...NOW THAT'S THE TRUTH.

I respect the fact that you do your bit for the needy but I don't agree with your view that these people come in to take peoples jobs....he's bringing in skills to the Colombian workforce right? Will he not be contributing to the economy? Will he not get a better idea about Colombia? Sometimes it seems to me that you want to be the only gringo in Bogota...anyone here with intentions of staying in Bogota gets a reponse from you trying to scare the poster out of coming here....

Foreign workers If a foreigner wants a job in Colombia and can get one, best of luck to them.

With the amount of Colombians working in other Countries compared with the amount of foreigners taking a job in Colombia, they can spare a few jobs for them.

I agree with GIB, you're not doing any favors to anyone by taking a job away from a Colombian. The jobs that most immigrants and illegals take here - yes, they are doing us a favor by taking the jobs that no one else wants. This is not the case in Colombia.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Immigrants to England take the bottom jobs to the top jobs and many in between, if they weren't there the jobs would be filled by locals, but they would have to pay more money for the low level jobs to fill the vacancies by the local population. I know it is much the same in the US.

More foreigners in Colombia is welcome, if some take jobs there so be it, the few that are taking jobs in Colombia, is more than matched by the severtal million Colombians taking jobs overseas.

I'm looking for work there. But it will be as a musician. I don't know if that is included in your rant, GIB. But it is so hard to make a living as a musician ANYWHERE very few people can do it.
