hi, I'm coming to Bogota for 6 months starting at the beginning of May. My girlfriend, who is Colombian, lives in the Barrio Santa Isabel neighborhood, on Calle 1C... everything I've read says to avoid the southern and western parts of the city... should I get an apartment somewhere else, or am I paranoid from reading too much Lonely Planet.
