I had a flash of inspiration for those seeking a slightly off-beat cool gift idea for people living in Bogota:
A really unique umbrella. Functional, artsyish, fashion-ish. Get an artprint, or some cool transparent one.

adrimm (Moderator) says on Mar 29, 2009, 14:51: In total perhaps not, but there are months in which i during which Bogota gets plenty of rain - and it tends to come in strong bursts... If one has the luxury of not being out, or ducking into a shop for the strongest 30 mins or so, great. But I have heard my relatives complain about it (since clearly for residents life must go on).
