Bogota gift idea

I had a flash of inspiration for those seeking a slightly off-beat cool gift idea for people living in Bogota:

A really unique umbrella. Functional, artsyish, fashion-ish. Get an artprint, or some cool transparent one.

In total perhaps not, but there are months in which i during which Bogota gets plenty of rain - and it tends to come in strong bursts... If one has the luxury of not being out, or ducking into a shop for the strongest 30 mins or so, great. But I have heard my relatives complain about it (since clearly for residents life must go on).

Bogota's rainiest month has more precip than New York or London's highest precip months.

Bogota: min=41mm, max = 115mm looking for the right graph.

Seattle: min=25mm max=140mm

New York: min=77mm, max = 103mm http://media.photobucket.com/image/New York Precipitation mm/raggedy13/rainfall.jpg

London: min=45mm, max = 80mm " http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/images/enrainfall.gif

i hope the quality would be better than those 5 mils ones in Medellin...the breeze in Cartagena gets so strong sometimes that umbrellas are useless......
