BOGOTA - Golden Lion Architectural Award in Venice (Italy)

Bogota was awarded a golden lion architectural award at the La Biennale di Venezia in Italy. The award acknowledges the amazing transformation Bogota has experienced in the last 10 years, from an almost collapsed ugly dirty urban area to a totally renewed urban environment where public architecture, transportation, parks, public utilities, safety and related issues made the city one of the best in latin america and the world.

That's good news I'd heard about it earlier, but it's nice to see the link to the website of the Biennale di Venezia, which I hadn't checked out before.

Bogotá's far from the best city in the world and it continues to have problems of its own, but it's improved and can be positively compared to others, all in all. That's definitely a big improvement.

Now the only thing we need is to bring these same guys who made this miracle in Bogotá happen down to the Olla de Cali and Galería de Buenaventura.

Cheers,
