Board Games/Games to Bring

Hi,

I will be heading to Colombia to visit my novia in about 2 weeks. We will meet in Bogota (her, and her sister and I) and share the same apartment for a couple of days. I wanted to know if there are any games or board games that I might want to consider bringing to enjoy the night while inside.

Thanks!

Monopolio I always fight that it`s Monopoly and not Monopolio (like a bad nightmare to have that right??). And the people cannot seem to get it straight that it`s Leeee-vis jeans not "leh-vies" like what the IRS does to one`s paycheck to get child support.

My Monopoloy game from Colombia is written Monopoly on the box, just like my American one, my English one, my Russian one etc.... I collect the games from each country I visit.

Just a thought. Company for someone who may fall into an uncovered manhole:

Russian roulette,
Turn the screw.
Hangman
Cluedo

For some reason Colombians seem to love Rummy-Q. That and parqués.

Hey Nato that would suit me better, the regular Colombian one has the same streets as the US version. At least the English one uses English streets.

Where would I find that special Colombian version?

The Best Games In Life? I sort of like a board game called "Risk", dunno why, guess I'm just into... er... **WORLD DOMINATION**!!!!! Mma-ha-ha! Seriously, you can get strange and radically power-mongery on this game. Some caution is advised!

On the lighter side, there's an odd little book called "The Book of Questions" where you take turns asking each other questions. The idea is to explore yourself and your friends' hearts and minds.

A couple of examples:
Would you accept 20 years of extraordinary happiness and fulfillment if it meant you would die at the end of the period?
When you are given a compliment do you usually acknowledge it or suggest that you really do not deserve it?

There's also a "Book of Questions - Love & Sex" edition:
Would you rather have a strikingly attractive spouse who was disappointing in bed or a plain-looking spouse who was fantastic?
If you could be twice as passionately in love with your partner as you are now, would you want to be?

There are a host of similar books, plus you start making up weird questions of your own. (If you were forced to have a tattoo on your forehead, but could choose the design, what would it look like? Would you rather be 20% smarter or 40% better in bed?)

I dunno, maybe it's not for everyone, but I've always found these kinds of questions to be fascinating. And they can create some interesting situations, too. ;-)

Cheers!

An easier fit in your carry on... Pass the pigs!
Can make great drinking games with this game. But then again, a pair of dice and 3-man is even less space.
Raaaaazorback!

My wife and her kids love to play both dominoes and cards. We had to bring several decks of cards to her mother because she claims that the ones made here are "better". As usual.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

but why don't you try a Colombian game? I love playing PARKES or PARQUES i don't know how to spell it anyway I play it with money every game is worth £10 about $50 thousand pesos we have a rule that when ever a person goes to prison they need to add more money at the end of the game the winner will end up with the $50 thousand pesos plus all the winnings from the people that were put in prison.
