Reading an article like this one about the situation in Vista Hermosa http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/world/5838266.html put me to mind about a problem so many places have faced when the dust starts to settle after a long bloody conflict-what to do about collaborators.
Because at some point when FARC's influence is reduced even more and more soldiers are demobilised and life is still the same old grind people are going to become restive and look for someone to blame-they always do.
Never underestimate the power of this sort of thing to tear a place apart-will Colombia have something like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa?
Would it work?
It'll be a serious test of Colombia democracy any way you look at it, either stinging 'em up or letting them apologise and slink home.
