Bing.com??

Does anyone have this crap on their computer? I now have Bing for some reason even though I did not ask for it. Is it something unique to Colombia? Be careful because it has really messed up my computer and infected several of my Word files. If anyone knows how to get rid of it I would appreciate some help. I understand it is part of MSN, but I never authorized them to do anything. (not that it matters around here). It really sucks big time...at least for me.

any ideas?

"I never authorized them to do anything." you probably have, somewhere hidden away in t.o.s getting msn or whatever.
Its Microsoft's way of gaining a share of the search market... making it as hard as possible to get rid off it.

do you use firefox?

ok...but here must be a way of uninstalling. this reminds me of some of the crap the U.S. government does. They do this stuff becasue they can. I have sent eamils to MSN and all I get in return is an FAQ message that says nothing. Elmin...what do I do. I can't shoot them or their dog.

...and so it goes

I tried using bing once and it suuuuuuuucked. Way too basic and not up to par really. But no, they didn't secretly install it in my computer.

Rikito, you don't really have to shoot anybody, or their dog.

Take a look at http://www.nanochromicdisplays.com/how-to-uninstall-bing-and-make-goog...

Seems that some people think "everybody's outa step but me".

Bing (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search, MSN Search) is the current web search engine (advertised as a "decision engine") from Microsoft.

I think I would like to collaborate with azunoman on a colombian search engine to replace bing. Maybe we could call in boink...
