How do you get "big shootout" and "bank robbery" and "quite a hit" out of a few broken windows.

Do you even know what a shot-out window looks like versus a broken out window?

Geez this is how rumors get started and why so many people here who know everything actually know nothing.

the police outside guarding the entrance which was covered with yellow police tape were also in on the rumor.. quite odd.. perhaps the small holes in the entrance door were due to some kid throwing his marbles through the window and that is why one side of avenida poblado was half closed for hours....

This is a short story that I think describes what happened. I was at that corner in my car when it happened.

I was driving south on av. el Poblado at calle 10 and there were a large number of police motorcycles and mini-buses that went by. We all had to move to each side of the road to let them pass between us. A pair of police on a motorcycle had to stop at the calle 10 light so one of them unholstered a pistol and all the traffic stopped for them to pass. One of the police mini-buses stopped in front of Banco de Credito, they all got out, looked around for a second, and got back in and proceeded to Banco de Occidente.

When I arrived there a minute or two later there was a crowd and many police in front of the bank. A shot was fired (at least it sounded like a shot to me) and everyone started to run away, except for the police who all ran toward the noise at the same time. I was very impressed by how they handled it. I saw one man on the ground that looked injured (he was prone face down). That's all I saw as I got the heck out of there up loma Alejandria as quick as I could.

Another story.....

There was an armed robbery monday afternoon in guayabal (south of the city and close to poblado) and the guy stole a car for his get away. While being chased by police he crashed into a tree and died from the impact. Closed down the road because of that and I was almost late to work.

It seems some people are getting desperate, probably due to the economic downturn, unemployement up, Don Mario in jail, we could see a gang war coming soon to Medellin.

More news.......apparently it wasn't a bank robbery attempt............It appears that the guy was using the ATM.........it was Medo................Desi spotted him and jumped out of her company Merc and started firing off shots at him................

Yes..there was a Police involved shooting..Attempted bank robbery.

The killings will increase. Now everyone is jockeying for top dog.

What is better? leave the current boss in and let things be or catch the old one let the killings start and finally the stronger one will prevail that makes a better deal to cut the government(S) in on the money??
Either way the drugs will continue...
Its just politics..somebody higher up needed a stat or show action that some public money is really making a difference.. Its all a Fokkin Yoke...

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
