Best rum deal in Colombia

FYI after hearing Brava beer is extinct it reminded me of something. Exito has a exclusive licence in Colombia for a rum from Guyana called "El Dorado". It's fantastic! It's only sold at Exito and it even says so on the back label. In Santa Marta it sold for 21,000 pesos. In Bogota 14,500.

It's considered a 'ron obscuro" dark rum. Everyone of my friends whose tried it loves it. I saw a guy buy out all of it on Cr.7 the other day and he asked me If I wanted the 2 bottles in my cart as well! Really it's quite the bargain for the price. Even my snooty French Friends dig it!

I have never had a better rum for the price. Seriously. Try it out!

You're late to the party juicerbud. A day or two ago it was announced here on PBH that Brava got cancelled, gone the way of the do-do bird. If you can find some, buy now ... once it is gone, it is forever gone (supposedly).

Rum from Guyana might be great but their Rum Liqueur is undistinguished at best.

I am so sad.... I was in Cali without a computer and I missed this very important information. Man, that stinks. Good thing I filled up while I was there!!! Thanks Robert, I'll try to get a stash ready for my summer trip.

Brava has been dead since they cut the Red label high alcohol content version almost 2 years ago - which was the only reason to drink that brand as far as I'm concerned
