Best Restaurants (& Deliveries) in Medellin

Just looking for a few decent restaurant suggestions in Medellin. I'm quite a fan of La Fragata (next to Park 10 Hotel) - great seafood, and Ron de Vinola (up the hill in Poblado) - the best steak I've had in Colombia.

Also food deliviery companies. For pizza I use Archie's but I'm sure there must be a better option.

What about a decent chinese delivery?

I don´t know if you have Pizza1969 in Medellin, I love their Pizzas and Salads here in Bogota, great ingredients and loaded...

What I have, I do not want to lose, but Where I am I do not want to stay, but those I love, I do not want to leave, but those I know I no longer want to see, but Where I die, I do not want to go;I want to stay where I have never been

May I recommend "In China" at Cra 30 No 7A - 310, Transversal Inferior frente a Verona Mall, telephone(s) 266 73 97 & 266 75 53.

They are IMO the best chinese restaurant in Medellin and provide reliable, high quality home deliveries. Not cheap...but worth it.

Isn't there a Pizza 1969 in Medellin near the Laureles parque?

I've walked past it a few times (if I'm not confusing it with something similar).

que nota!

South side of the Plaza Envigado "Kit Kof" Hamburguesa con queso is the best and cheap too!
No delivery though! Spent 30 on burgers with mi amiga at El Corral like an idiot then found Kit Kof and felt even more so ripped off!

Regardless of price, you can't beat a bacon burger from El Corral!

It just tastes too damn good.

The first time I ate at El Corral was by the Olaya Herrara airport. I always make it a point to eat at the outdoor one at Oviedo mall. It's also a great place to meet locals on their lunch break. It's usually crowded at this location.

Pedro is correct. Pizza 1969 opened about 2 months ago in Laureles. For those who dont drive too much, Laureles can be a pain to navigate with the parques, circulares, transversals. etc. (I still get lost and I do deliveries everyday) and the pizza place can be difficult to find. Probably round about from Poblado but the easiest directions I can think of is from the 80 go down at the 35 (Don Quixote) traffic circle and follow down about 1/2 mile it´s on one of the traffic circles. There´s a bflo wing place and Blue Marlin not far from it.

SI SI, El Corral does have a good product. It is a chain so one location should not be better than the other. It was a good burger, just a little salty in the price. Give "Kit Kof" a try. Neat litte place.
Not much seating but you get to stand around and chat with everyone while the burger runs off your face. Good times, I hope I get to return this month as planned!
Peace

My buddies and I like Lo de Vicente in Santa Lucia. The owner is from Argentina and will greet you with a big sweaty hug if you go and see him, awesome. They deliver except on Mondays. Take the Metro, get off at Santa Lucia and walk one block up the hill (south) Lo de Vicente is on your right. They deliver, 416 02 80

We were there in Jan 2007 for a week. We dined at La Fragata; the service was horrible. Food was fine. Had better. Perhaps we were not attired to their liking. We dress casual (no need to advertise).
We did enjoy dining at a small Italian restaurant "La Bottega del Vino" on Cra.36 N.10-62 telfono 311 14 72 (owner: Giorgio)

My wife and I love Medellin. We will be living there in 2 years.

robi666 says on Feb 2, 2008, 19:06:

The best restaurant in Medellin is by far La Provincia, nearby Oviedo.
A good Italian with good prices is Crispino (owner Salvatore Crispino) in Laureles.
Archies makes the best pizza I had so far.
For meat, try Alma Llanera in Sabaneta. Hato Viejo up in Las Palmas is good too.

I won't even consider a fast food type restaurant as El Corral in my list of the best. Good hamburger (but expensive) anyway, if you are into that kind of food.
