Trying to describe the "Best" post is very difficult because "Best" can mean many things. However my definition of "Best" post is more inclined to describe the Post above this regarding " I Am Now Lost."
Here is a man who has come to this cite for advice and support and everyone rallied to his side. Why is this so important you may want to ask? Well this cite it seems to me is all about Colombia and for the most part is about people either relocating to Colombia or having their significant other coming to their country. Unfortunately, this man has had a bad experience with a Colombian women, who it seems took advantage of his good nature. Advantage to the point of marrying him with the sole purpose of getting to the USA then abandoning him once in the States.

This is not the first time this has happened and documented on this cite and it is very likely to happen again and again. What is amazing is the support that members of this board have given this person. In my humble opinion these are the best "posts" I have seen on this board.

I agree Lostgringo. Posts that provide usable data for those interested in Colombia are valuable. One could break those down into categories and everyone would probably have a different ranking.

For example, if I had had access to information regarding transferring funds and purchasing property before I could have saved much hardship, headache and money. That information is now available on this site. It was not then. All one needs to do is search the site with parameters unique to their needs.

One can also now find on this site all one needs for visas, cedulas and Colombian citizenship.

For me, the least usable part of this site is the sounding off on U.S. politics. Most of this chatter is useless and aggravating. It gets so bad at times that I cannot resist responding to the nonsense. A response only contributes to the noise.

Peter If we want to have "best thread" then it might be worth doing every few months.. There are so many threads in PBH going back several years that most of us will recall those that are fairly recent.

imho the best threads are those that 1) provide useful information (and little attitude) and 2) have polite and thoughtful discourse on issues related to Colombia.

I think the best should be along those lines. whether it's for those bringing a significant other to the US or even those wishing to relocate to Colombia.
Me personally, I like the one's about going TO Colombia, getting the necessary visa(s) and the process for buying a house/apt. and living in Colombia.
