my name is sebatian correa my granfather who lives in manizales colombia owns a really and i mean really good retuarant in manizales. the name of the place is called Plaza 22
i dont say its good because my granfather owns the place i say its good because the food is excellent. its an upscale retaurant with foods at a super exceptional price. for example the filet mognon is only around 18,00 pesos!!! filet mignon for 8 dollars!!!! the french fries are suberb thick and juicy. my granfathers name is jorge and his wife liliana. my granfather is usually at the register. the place is located near plaza bolivar. ita a cevicheria, panaderia, cafe, and reataurant. the mora (blackberry) juisce is the bomb!!!! search for it whenever you travel to manizales ask someone where it is and theyll probably know. im telling you if you want the best coffee, fruit juices, traditional pastries, fast or slow food, maizena, ceviche, and etc. go to plaza 22. the upstairs part is the reastaurant part and the first floor is the cafe. it is located en el centro (downtown) so dont worry it is safe and not secluded at all in the contruary it is located in the middle of all the action and its very close (i mean super super right next-door-close) to the famous basilic cathedral which has become a landmark of manizales. about manizales: manizales is a city in the eje cafetero or the cofee area of colombia it is the second largest city only to pereira in the eje cafetero region. it has a museum of rum. a beautiful park (espectaculer with forest hikes, orchids, the famous bamboo building, and a ride in the telespheric overlooking the forest.) called recinto del pensamiento. manizales with a population of about 300,000 is said to be one of the most beautiful and artistic citeis in latin america beacause of the beaytiful views of el paramo and the mountains. if you want to stay in a exclusive secluded hotel 10 minutes from the city stay in los termales del otono whci is a hot thermal spinrgs hotel. the place includes seperate thermal springs for each little cabana you rent or 2 public huge thermal springs. please consider going to manizales and eating at plaza 22.
