Basketball in Colombia

I am wondering if anyone knows any good places to play in-door basketball. I am looking for a place that has an organized league or a type of open gym. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

don't know, but... that is an interesting inquiry; a gringo with a little basketball experience should be able to play circles around most Colombians. I just have not heard yet, of Colombians being too excited about playing basketball. Are there any outdoor courts, there? as there are so many places in the EEUU?

Really what city. i was at a girls apt in bogota a few years ago and i kept hearing loud cheering coming from across the street from her place. i asked what all the noise was about , she said they are having a basket ball game in the gym across the street. so somebody likes basketball in Bogota and they must have indoor facilities.

Basquetbol - Baloncesto Basket is quite common in Colombia, most neighborhood parks will have a multiple court which usually includes the basket. There is a nationwide league and championship "copa saludcoop" and many cities around the country have their team. In the case of Bogota is called the Piratas and their home stadium is Coliseo El Salitre.

Any public gyms/basketball in North Bogota? I love basketball and was wondering if there are any indoor basketball courts in North Bogota. Or anywhere that is safe and inviting? I'm looking to play with others during my vacation in the summer of 2007.

Basketball
Hi. I'm also located in the north (Cl 127 y Kr 15 - Unicentro) and I'm trying to find spots to play. I've heard about some private schools with indoor gyms that are open in the evenings, local leagues, etc. but couldn't get exact details.

Also Santa Fe mall is out at ~CL 177 so 143 is a bit away. Any more details on this address/court?
