I don't know if this made local news in Villavicencio or in Bogota - probably not. But it was a pretty interesting, but grim story that the inlaws told us last week.
A cop in Villavicencio's wife borrowed a certain amount of money from a street lender / loan shark. The cop didn't know about the debt and the wife didn't pay back the loan. After a certain amount of time, the cop ends up dead in his own house with his throat cut ear to ear. The woman had her throat slashed also, but survived. This must have happened in late February.
Moral of the story, don't borrow money in Colombia.

Robert Jorge says on Mar 30, 2008, 01:47: I would guess this isn't unusual in Colombia. BUT, the fact that 'they' took out a cop is a little unusual. I heard all kinds of rumors, but only reported the few facts that I knew of. BEWARE of gold diggers. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
