damn...im going to be moving there in january haha. How do u cross those arroyos?? That is insane if that is just 10 minutes worth of rain, how do u even cross the street?

Brian858 says on Sep 24, 2009, 18:55:

You don't cross any streets that have that kind of water running down them. You just wait it out. I like the video where the bus is being swept down the street sideways. They had that on Caracol a few weeks ago.

curramberochris says on Sep 25, 2009, 05:22:

I can feel a distinct difference in the temperatures and humidity of Cartagena and BQ. I go to Cartagena and the climate just makes me want to turn back round and leave again. BQ weather easier to survive. Santa marta has the best climate out of all of them, due to the Sierra Nevada. Some microclimate effect I think.

Heck, and I'm almost getting ready to go to Quilla, now that I thought the "fall" weather was coming. Perhaps Las Brisas Dicembrinas will cool down the place.

The paper said it was going to be unusually hot this year due to the "El Nino". I've been here 3 months and it's only rained about 2 times and this is supposed to be the rainy season.

MC, I hope so. It's always the best time to be in B/quilla, I kind of think it's like going to SFO during October [sunny and no fog] best time of the year to visit The City, of course my Curramba ain't SFO, but it will suffice.

You have to be born in B/lla to be happy there, or come from India, or Taiwan, Philippines or wherever it is frinking hot and humid. I would not survive for one hour there now, plus the beaches suck, at least the other countries I mention have gorgeous beaches. I have family there, so I visited once when I was a teenager, and once drove by with my husband then, we thought we were in hell, bar after bar, after bar, with incredible loud music, we could not wait to get out of there. But it must have some charm for some people, hey some people even think Sincelejo is nice!.
It is just me that do not like heat, humidity and sacudos!. Even Medellin is getting too hot for me. (:

Vive la vida y deja vivir!.
