Barranquilla to Cartagena Taxi or Bus service??? I hope......

Hi!

I'm taking an American Airlines flight to Barranquilla with my 3 boys and I was wondering if anyone knew the best, safest and most convenient way to get from the Barranquilla Airport to our apartment in Cartagena (and back again after 2 weeks).

I've heard that there are transportation companies that provide this service.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to make this as easy a journey as possible?

Thanks!

Use the google search to find the previous threads on this topic. It has been mentioned quite a few times before.

Take a van shuttle, it will cost like $9 USD per person one way.

I would take a cab. Direct, safe and inexpensive. I took a cab from Santa Marta to Barranquilla for 65,000 pesos when I was there last summer. I go to Colombia monthly and take cabs everywhere..

No doubt the best way is to take a Van Shuttle. A good company is MarSol. They charge approx 18,000 pesos or about 9 bucks per person one way. A taxi would be 150,000 pesos for the whole family. You do the math, but the van is very safe and pretty comfortable.

Their phone numbers are:

Barranquilla: 369-0999

Cartagena: 656-0302

Have fun.

Going from the central bus station by bus will be fine also.

The van shuttle is best for one or two people but for four a taxi might cost the same and there would be no waiting.
