well i live in barranquilla so i can help you out a bit, seven is the best club at the moment its relatively close to your hotel, barullo, froggleggs and canta gallo are also good,clubs are relatively cheap comparing to US standards go sure to have a good time man.

Do a search on PBH and you will get several reviews about Hotel American Golf. I will never stay there again when I am in Barranquilla.

There is a club on calle 84, right by the hotel(on the 82)..........barullo. Nice club to go to if you are looking for a posh place.

mompi, is not one club, is a lotta them all located in north curramba. To be honest, I've never been to any of them except to Beer Company and when i heard "ricki don't lose the fokin number" by steely dan coming from the speakers, I left!

My barranquilla, the one i grew up in and the one where i now spend my vacations is in the south, which is very very third world but LOTS of fokin fun, for me!!
Then you have north barranquilla, where you have your upper middle class and wealthy barranquilleros. That's the other half of curramba.
When you step outta the airport the first thing you see is the south. most people wanna get on that plane and return to their homes, not me.
Once you make it to the northern half of curramba is a different world.

Oh yeah, Chris. To enter Barullo on a wkd nite, 20 mil barras. Ridiculous for Colombia, esp.in BAQ. Too many other bars in the area to support such fuckery. Not even gonna comment on Seven again.

We chose to head down the street to Cantaleta for the 5 mil barra entrada. Had a great time. Heard very little of that electronica crap that the north is becoming known for. LOL!!! We had to tap out at both Bebos and Cantaleta on consecutive nites after a couple of bottles of whiskey and all nite dancing. Ended up at Javier's around the corner, after for cheap eats.

yeah, well. finally,... I might be going to the coroncho headquarters: BQ.
talked to my gf tonight, and she wants to meet up in Santa Marta. In the next few months, before the (hopeful) interview sometime in Dec or Jan.

I just hope I don't get stuck listening to that Head MF, diomedes diass. Man, that would ruin my trip for sure. Now, if I happen to see Shak (cause the UCLA FOOTBALL COACH IS probably gonna send her LYING ASS back to Colombia!)... maybe it will ease the pain ;)

I´m not really a big fan of the "up-scale" clubs that appear on lacheca.com. They are very similar in price and style of music played, they are not bad but I find them very repetitive. Just depends what you enjoy I suppose.
I usually find the price of the place is inversely related to the enjoyment I have. I never tire of filling the crate under the table at the troja or "el triangulo".......

A nice place with no cover is the club on top of Hotel Barranquilla Plaza I think the name is Piso 24. Can see the whole city at night and it serves great food plus has live music at times, DJ at others. Worth a try no doubt.
