Barranquilla Hotel info needed for Jan 30 to Feb 6th.....

Hi All...Happy New Years....
Looking for some recommendations on hotels in Barranquilla Jan 30th thru Feb 6th.....Hotel Dann Carleton seems nice but I think overpriced,,,,is the Majestic as good as the previous posts stated....its been awhile....anybody been in Barranquilla lately at a good value hotel. this is my first time in Barranquilla for the Carnavale although I have visited various cities in Colombia. I will be travelling alone and any other PBH's out there gonna be at Carnavale let me know and maybe we can hook up...thanks for any and all help....see ya there

PS can anyone tell me about un barrio que se llama Boston and which good hotel is nearest ....Thanks

sorrentos aparta hotel is good ...if they have a room available....much cheaper and more room than the hotels and in good location....i have the number somewhere...but if you do a web seach...sorrento aparta hotel barranquilla you will find the address and ph no........i,ll be staying there myself (suite booked) from the 9th of jan till 7th feb.
paying 60 thou col pesos a day...two bedroom..central air..hot shower...full kitchen and living room..tvs in both bedrooms and living room...balcony to view street...security lock boxes for valubles and even wirless internet.nice people too.
they may want a little higher price as its only a week you are staying....i get a good rate but they know me well and ive stayed there lots....good luck

Just do a search youll find tons. But its a pain in the ass reservering the rooms. You need to go to the bank and deposit money in there account than fax the recipt to the hotel.
