BABY NAMES

Hey everybody,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out by giving me suggestions for baby names that would sound good in English and Spanish and with one English last name and one Spanish last name. We don't know yet if it will be a boy or a girl.

Thanks

The girl ones are easy:

Silvia
Veronica
Ivonne
Norah

Boy names are more difficult:

Solomon - Or how about even something italian-sounding like Giovanni ?
Other than that I like David, Daniel, Nicolas

Thanks for all your replies, but I think a few of you kind of forgot that they should be names that are OK in English AND Spanish. No offense, but Miguel, Esteban, Santos, Joseph, Jose, Lewis, Luis, Mercedes, Maria del Mar, Juan, Camilo, Antonio, Andres, Felipe, Juan Pablo and John Paul are not exactly bilingual names.

And Lourdes? You can't be serious.

I think that because of common religion roots those biblical jewish names which are the same (or very close) in English and Spanish are good

David, Daniel, Adam, Simon, Samuel, etc.

Sara, Esther, Ruth, Martha, etc.

There is girl where I work named Lourdes and she is constantly made fun of for it (Lord azz :P). Spanish names that dont have a stigma to it here in the states would be

Diego
Sophia
Maria
Rico (Suave)
Isabelle

You have to be careful because some names here in the states can automatically identify you with stereotypes

gordo
