just got back from barranquilla,
found a place to stay in the end, no problem, without reservation, at hotel olimpico, (its in the lonely planet guide). really cheap if you share a room,
the surrounding area is ugly, (paseo bolivar) but it has character.
i must admit, upon arrival it thought barranquilla was going to be shit, but after about 3 hours, i was more optimistic,
to cut a long story short, the carnival was awsome, throwing talco and spraying white stuff a girls, getting soaked in water, dancing, drinking, dancing.
the girls were plentyful, always with pritty faces, and often amazing figures.
made some great friends, such great people, religous, with good morals, but they know how to have a really good time.
i found that bus tickets usally are marked about 20,000 pesos above the minimum, so i got there and back for 70,000 each way with berlinas del fonce, i heard its the best line.
ill be posting pictures soon, once developed.
hope everyone else had a great time in barranquilla!
im definetly going back next year, just need to make sure i dont mix up the names from the girls i met. jajaja
peace

elmexicano says on Mar 13, 2005, 21:24: i'd like to see the pics. I am planning to go to Colombia, I keep getting stuck on whether I should go to Barranquilla or Cali. I love the beach, but I would like to see Cali. I just can't make up my mind, either way I know both would be great to visit. What would you prefer? marcos 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
