Avianca won't quote 2-way tickets, and is tacking a $120 fuel surcharge...

...so now you price ea way separately, and the best quote I'm getting for Dec25-31 6-day trip is $755.

Bummer dude....

That is about normal for this time of year. I paid $700 for that same flight last new years eve and I bought my tickets in October.

I just checked AA.com

$532 R/T but then you add taxes... $618

You could save some $$$ by going Dec 26-31 ... $479 RT w/ tax $567

Hell, it's too short of a trip in my eyes.... happy hunting

Damn short trip it is, reason why I want to stretch it to the max, but any return flight during the first week of Jan/08 will double your cost, and I'm returning 01/02, so I'll pay through the nose.
Wife took our two-year old Sophia for "show-'n-tell" until Feb 12 and I just got to were I just had to go...
I got a return trip on 01/02 via AA for $779.70, & was about to book Avianca Ft Laud-Bogo $290, then their server crashed; or maybe they just quit at 2:00am.

Its across the board tickets are high...well talking about January and February and I hunt trust me..I go back and forth....Copa is tacking on a higher fuel surcharge now...Tougher for me because I go to Medellin...and Bogota has more options......I ended using miles with Copa and American for January..which I got a good price 35,000 with Copa and 30,000 with American but did that three weeks ago.. Lets see if the fuel goes down and prices get back down inbetween 400-450 out of South Florida.. Cheapest including taxes right now for January and February is Copa at 506.00 only on www.copaair.com for MIA-MDE don't know about Bogota or other cities..won't pay that..because I am one cheap son a bitch don't give in to the airlines will wait one of the airlines will need to start filling seats after the holiday..

Cheers...Flying out 12/21 out of MIA if I survive will be crazy..Avianca had that ticket since June..
