Avianca to begin offering LAX-BOG flights

I hear that once again Avianca will start offering direct LAX--BOG flights. They may start as soon as October. Finally, those who live on the west coast will have an alternative.

But... It was one of the expensiest rates you could find and also it was really boring (and cold) to wait for 2 hours in Mexico City's airport sitting in the plane with doors open....

They had the LAX on there drop menue When I have gone on there web site they list LAX as a stop from there pull down menu. You input LAX and try to make a reservation and all, but it will then report an error when trying to make it. Kind of cheesy if you ask me. Why have this stop when not available.

Thanks for the info. I hate going through Florida. Mexicana is ok, but you need to stop at Mexico City. Taca you have to stop at San Jose.

Thanks

No more Ciudad Mexico It will be a direct flight from LAX. It was unfortunate they ever cancelled this route. For 20+ years they had the same counter manager in L.A..

Although the best service I ever had from LAX was with Aerolineas Argentinas, it's nice to see this route back.
