Avianca is offering fares from Miami to Bogota for $188, Miami to Barranquilla for $ 192 and New York to Medellin for $ 255 roundtrip. I could not find the time frame or restrictions but good deal for someone needing to go soon no doubt. My next trip is not till February so I doubt I will be able to get these fares at that time.

Peter (Moderator) says on Nov 29, 2007, 00:32: They have a mailing list you can sign up to and they always send these offers. However, when you call the offers are often "sold out", although you might get lucky. Poor but snappy 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Robert Jorge says on Nov 29, 2007, 05:46: Yep, I couldn't find anything either. What Peter said makes sense and sounds typical. I wish I knew how to get on the mailing list. I'll have to check out the site again and look closer. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children. I was waiting for a sale for MLK weekend but last night and this morning I was so tired and out of it, I lost the chance, checked my email too late. $255 is an incredible deal!!

RJQuilla says on Nov 29, 2007, 14:02: Yeah, I get email notices of the bargain fares sent to me. I figured you would have to book soon to get the deal. I could not find it on the website either and the email refers you to their site. Best way is to call when you find out about it. I will post about then as soon as I read the emails.

Clinman says on Nov 30, 2007, 14:42: I am flying from Miami - Baq Jan 31st then next day Baq- Caracas with my Colombian novia to Margarita Island. Return after 6 nights Caracas-Baq then three days later Baq-Miami. Yes I am leaving on Feb 10th from Barranquilla. My total for (4) Avianca segments is $813. There is $170 of taxes and fees built into that price.I still have to buy Bos-Miami but will use a voucher for that segment. Plus I need to buy Caracas-Porlamar (Margarita Island) with Aeropostal or other Ven airline.

panthdave says on Dec 2, 2007, 10:53: After traveling many flights I have to say all around with everthing for Miami Medellin flights including mileage program and service and times of flights.. American is number 1....Shit you must fly and hell of alot to be AA Platinum at least 20,000 dollars a year...I am AA Gold and spend alot....I use to fly Copa but getting annoyed sitting in the Panama Airport and also One pass miles are difficult to use with Copa from Miami on economy seats..only the 60,000 Easy pass seats..and Avianca has only one early afternoon flight per day to Medellin from MIA so American is it.... panthdave Miami 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
