Avianca bag fees

In February I'll be taking Avianca from JFK to Colombia for the first time. (Its a longer drive and I'll have stay in a hotel the night before to make the 7:00 AM flight, but it will still be $200 cheaper than any of the US major carriers.)

Any experienced Avianca flyers out there? Does Avianca charge for the first suitcase? For the second?

Gator is right. Phillyguy. I assume you are coming from Philly. Anyway I do the direct from JFK all the time. Just hit the road at 2:30am and sleep on the plane. Unless you are going for more than 3 days than you will get a break parking at the hotel.

Hola!

I live over at the Philly Airport! I leave here at 2AM and can get to JFK in plenty of time just doing the speed limit! No one is on the road and it is such an easy drive.

BTW, 93.1 FM plays romantic Spanish music when you get North of Trenton on the NJ Turnpike.

Take I295 to Trenton and save some tolls and use the Outer Bridge Crossing bridge Rt 440 into NY City, instead of the Goethals Bridge.

You could always leave at Midnight if you do not believe me, but REALLY you do not need a hotel room! Take your shower just before leaving your house!

I have gone to Colombia 14 times and 10 times it has been with Avianca from JFK!
