rocinante says on Nov 25, 2006, 10:26: digit alert! Some newer ATM cards carry a pin greater than 4 digits. Since I learned the hard way 4 years ago while travelling I thought I'd let you know that there may still be ATM machines that only take 4 digit pins - thus making transactions impossible. Just as a precaution because you never know where you'll be, I always change my pins and make them only 4 digits. "World economic indicators point to a democrat winning 2008. It will surely be Obama. ColombianoGringo says on Nov 25, 2006, 10:45: Don't give up I have a debit card through a major US bank and I am able to use it in Colombia. However, keep in mind that it may not work at all ATMs. I have often tried my card at one ATM without success, only to have it work at a different one a block away. So if your card won't work at one machine, just keep trying.
