colombia: ATM cards from US not working on Plus network

Has anyone noticed the Plus network is not working in Colombia for two days now? I have been to many banks - Banco de Bogota, Banco Popular, AV Villas, BBVA and none of them accept my Capital One Direct card as they call come back with a communications error. I call Capital One and they show no transactions or problems with the card. I noticed this yesterday and the problem continues today.

I tried my RBC Centura ATM card at Bancolombia on Wednesday and it did not work. It did at Colpatria and Davivienda though. I also used my Bank of America card at Davivienda yesterday and today and it worked fine.

I am still having the same problem today as well with the plus network Banco de Bogota, Banco Popular, AV Villas, BBVA none worked

A friend of mine is having the same problems.

US card, Plus network. His home bank says his account is fine, but no ATM will give him a cash withdrawal.

It blows ,but luckily my visa card still works in the machines and gave me some pesos ....if not I would of been screwed

Yes, the problem continues. I tried Banco de Bogota, AV Villas, Banco Popular and BBVA. I ended up having to use my Bank of America card at Bancolombia which indeed worked - but I get charged 3% plus $5US per transaction.

My US ATM card has NEVER worked in the ATM of any "Colombian" bank. It only seems to work at the Spanish banks (BBVA, Santander) in Colombia.
