I agree with most of ConorC,s comments.Lots of effort from Colombia,but lacking the killer blow.Mind you,the Stunted Cokehead and his men were,nt up to much either.They looked rather ordinary.I thought Colombia did a better job of containing Messi,than Man.U. in the Champions League final.

Looking on the bright side, Mexico lost to El Savador! The Mexicans have dismissed the naturalized players like Matias Vuoso and Leandro Augosto so I love to see them lose. The kind of idiotic xenophobic nationalism that they display has no place in the modern world. I hope they don't quality. Meanwhile Leandro's UNAM Pumas won the Mexican championship over Miquel Calero's Pachuca team so maybe he's having the last laugh.

Colombian fans were hoping that Juan Pablo Pino would get some minutes but he wasn't even considered for the bench. Clearly, Lara's tactics were hoping for a 0-0 draw, which almost happened. Colombia can defend the best of them, shutting down Brazil, in the two encounters, and doing it to Argentina once before. It's boring but really, it's all Colombia can hope for as these skilled teams would tear apart Colombia if it tried to play offensive football.
Now Colombia takes on Peru at Medellin, the good news is that the top 4 teams are separating themselves from the pack, leaving Colombia hope for the fifth spot.
Miraculously, I think the team favored to take the 5th spot at the moment is Venezuela. It'll be very telling for them if they can defeat Uruguay at home. Ecuador is also hanging on and could slide in through the back.

A lot of times, the keeper stops the shot but due to the force there is a rebound and many goals are scored on the rebound. Actually a good many goals are scored from a relatively long distance. They always wanted to dribble the ball into the goal! I also used to tell them to take the shot they have instead of angling for the shot they want. A lot of goals are scored that aren't very pretty but they count as much as a beautiful shot. Even when they scored as a result of taking this advice, it was hard to get them to keep it up. They always go back to trying to dribble in!
