You need to list prices, otherwise your post is useless...

The only reference I found on the net (using google colombia) to this business was here and it doesn´t offer any more info than posted above.

I really resent "busnesses" that troll PoorButHappy for American and European clients but "save their prices for later". Usually means they have a separate American/European "price list". Put up or shut up!

I stand corrected. Here is an earlier post from D&G:

"you can relax and our prices are reasonables, you only will pay between 8,000 y 15,000 by fish plate, it depends on the size of the fish."

So tent camping and hammocks are with out cost? A bargain indeed!

Really weird post. Prices per night, exact location of your resort? tents and hammocks include mosquito nets? There are many cool places at Playa Blanca and Baru. I recommend a day visit before committing to an overnight stay.

We should be so lucky!

I hope this doesn't turn out like the Medellin Real Estate thread.

I knew some operators like that in Mexico-they kept saying "You pay later"-I got smart and left town early one AM and never went back.

' a la orden!'

We stayed with Edgar at D and E Hammocks for 2 nights in January 2009.

We had a really great stay and enjoyed relaxing away from the city. We went snorkeling 2 minutes from the hammock place. We hired snorkel gear from a man on the beach. We paid 20,000 for a day and a half snorkel rental.

Edgar and Diego were extremely helpful in helping us get to Playa Blanca and searching for accomodation in Cartagena afterwards (there were no hostal beds available during the summer peak period).

The food was very cheap, we paid 10,000 for a huge plate of fish. In Tayrona we had to pay 22,000 for a similar plate, We paid 8,000 per night in a hammock. We paid 2,500 per Aguila - which seemed reasonable considering everything has to arrive via mototaxi and wheel barrow.

D and E Hammocks are away from the busiest section of the beach. During the mornings and evenings you have this area to yourselves. I would recommend visiting the beach during the week as at the weekends it was very busy. D and E appeared the be one of the cheapest places on the beach. We got on really well with Edgar who is extremely friendly - he has worked in the US for a lot of his life and has returned to Colombia to set up his hostal business.

I have uploaded some photos here:

For those who are interested "giving a lap a worm" means going for a ride on a blow-up banana.
