I am moving to Bogota in August 2005. Can I bring my U.S. TV and my DVD recorder or will they be non-operational?
Is it better to just buy new in Bogota?
Any help will be appreciated!!

LaloG says on Jan 25, 2005, 09:24: We brought our DVD/VHS player, and have had no problems with non pirated media. Even some pirated media works fine, but not always. A friend bought a bunch of pirated DVD´s here when he was visiting, but not a single one worked on our machine. But when he got them back to the US, they seemed to work fine for him (or so he says. He may be lying because we warned him there could be problems, but he spent several hundred USD buying pirated versions, and may not want to hear "I told you so".)

If you download a decrypter (free) from the net, you can remove the area codes and the DVDs will play anywhere in the world, You can now purchase a MP3, DVD, etc etc player cost about £20 (USD about 35)which will plug into any TV and you can watch anything that you like. The brain is like a parachute, it only functions correctly when it is open. Pax vobiscum. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
