AOS - Hurry up and wait

Well, it's back to the waiting game, again.

Sent the I-485/765/131 packet to USCIS 10/27
Received by the USCIS 10/30
Got confirmation from the USPS 10/31
NOA for each form sent 11/8
NOA received for each form 11/12

and so now we wait again.

At least this time we're waiting under the same roof :)

The length of the wait depends on the local district office that is handling your AOS. Some district offices make you wait years while others like San Antonio are quick. We had a four month wait. If you get married and go for an immigrant visa (CR1) there is no AOS wait. Of course you do have to spend more time apart.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
