Title should be changed to "FLL to Cartagena for $88", not anywhere.

but NY.............is it not the point...........it's anywhere on Spirit to Cartagena...........not just FLL to Cartagena.................am I missing something........?

The flight example above was LA to CTG................not FLL to CTG

.........Its useless to argue with ignorance

You've got to be flexible with your dates and really search the site out. Also,
once I found a good flight roundtrip, I tried a one way ticket for the same date, and guess what? Not available. I don't know if that means the site's not working well???
It is a great deal though! I might book this and extend my trip to Medellin.....

Thanks for the shout Chapin. Don't know why you would opt for the insurance as I never do. But feel the extra $9 for the trial membership might be worth it.

RAAAY says on Mar 6, 2008, 09:15:

I think that Spitir has both the insurance option and the $9 option already clicked..........you need to un-click them to avoid the charges........bit sneaky

I think they're pretty much up front about it Raay. But you're right that you have to unsubscribe.

Looks like they just started this route in March and don't offer the $88 fare until May.

Does anybody out there ever subscribe to travel insurance?

I, on the other hand, always get travel insurance:

Well worth the thirty bucks or so....
You don't get much for your 12 dollars from the Spirit insurance though...

arrive at 12:25 pm 1 stop $230.75 regular, $610.75 BIG FRONT SEAT

This sounds too good to be true, has anyone ever use this airline before???

I did a power search all dates for the $18 fares from FLL direct and return but came up empty handed even logging as a member of the $9 fare club. Those don't last long at all but could still get the $88 fares taxes less than $300 RT. Still beats Avinuca by a long mile.

I don't pay the insurance or the travel club, I just wanted to leave it there just to show people.

I've flown Spirit when they began LAX-GUA last year and managed to score $82 total roundtrip tickets.

Don't expect food and baggage is limited.

I don't believe in insurance either for transient type transactions Chapin.

Travel insurance rates up their in profits for carriers with extended appliance warranties.

Better off taking the $12 premium they offer in this case to the roulette table
