Anyone

I will be traveling to San Jose, CA and Seattle for the week of May 15th trough 21st, and I was wondering if anyone lives there that would have time and would be willing to show me around or at least could tell me where good the places are located.
I have family is San Jose, but they will be busy and I will hate to waste the time that I will be there just staying in a hotel all day.
Maybe Go dance Salsa, love dancing, I am from Cali; most of us know how to do it so that won't be a problem.
Please advice.

I live and work in San Jose, CA...there is only one Colombian restaurant here called Rinconcitos...a family from Medellin owns it....and very friendly...theres Mexican restaurants on every corner it seems, and a few Cuban ones as well. .if you need anything here let me know. Only a few salsa places nearby, and a large number of banda and ranchera places if you like that since 50% of the city is from Mexico...but Grupo Niche lives here when in the USA..you may have heard of them being from Cali... =) My schedule is pretty much flexible, so let me know...also, let me know where you will be staying so you dont stay where it is not safe ..dont always believe the internet search descriptions...this place has its issues..then afterwards, when you meet Platano up north, you can tell him what a nice guy i am.....hahahaha.........

Just my opinion...

;-) The good places are the OTHER coast in New York City.

And you're right; since you already know how to do it, meeting people and having a good time won't be a problem.

Coolgirl I'll be in San Francisco on May 14 watching the Giants and Dodgers play baseball. After this I'll be visting my cousin in Orinda. This is about a 45 minute drive from San Jose. If you get tired of Miguel (haha) I can email you with my cell # and we could maybe hangout some.

Monica I agree.... with recta, skip SJ and go to SF. Mission district, especifically Valencia st. has all sorts of good clubs and restaurants. Most are latin, though not all, a couple are are Colombian.
