Anyone Living in Bogota

I am anxious to meet some people living in Bogota that are NOT connected to my school. While I enjoy the people I have met there, I would like to branch out a bit and see other places and other people.
Anyone out there???

Yes, several million live in Bogotá that aren't connected with your school. Perhaps 7 million or more.

Hi Lisa, I'm in the same boat as you and posted something similar on the TES website about a month ago. I've met a few great people off of this site. Anyway, I'm assuming that your name is Lisa and if so, that means you don't teach at the school that I teach at. What school are you at? I'd love to meet up sometime, just let me know if you're interested. By the way, I live in Cedritos, how 'bout you? (send me a PM if you'd rather do it that way. I just tried sending one to you and it didn't work). Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi John, are you from Colombia? What do you do? How old are you? I'd love to meet new people too so maybe we can get a group to go out sometime. It seems the PM's aren't working so we'll have to communicate through this site for the time being!

Hi Lisa,
I would love to meet another chick, where are you originally from?
I have made a few new foriegn girl friends this year and its been such a great change for me because after 7 months I had not made any colombian girlfriends.
today we all went to a gym on Avenida Suba con Parqueadro vigilado near Bulevar called "The SPA gym. they have salsa classes on Sundays at 11.30pm.

It was a riot, there were four of us trying to shake it with a room full of Colombian women of all ages shapes ans sizes. but Ill give them credit they did not laugh at us too much. Afterwards we had luch together, nice girl chats ect.
If your interested in joining us come along one sunday. I think its about 15,000 for a casual visit at the gym.

Thanks Sydneygirl... be great to meet up sometime. And Lucia, I had a good weekend aside from the fact that I got SOOOOOO sunburnt today. I look ridiculous! You'd think that living in Ethiopia last year with the same altitude as here I would have learned to wear sunblock but ohhhh noooo... teacher's aren't always the sharpest tools in the shed! haha.... help me, it hurts.... :-(

Bad experience with colombian girls?????? Notice how the colombian wasn't invited.... jejeje just joking. But really I'm interested? Why couldn't you meet colombian girls? Bogotanos are very closed I admit...but there are exceptions...

Lucia I dont know, I met a few but they never really invited me anywhere or tried to make an effort, the one that I met that was the nicest parties a little to hard and a little too often. I mean im up for a fun night out, but then I crash and wake up the next day to enjoy the weekend. This girl would just keep going for three days straight we were not really matched in that respect. I can be shy if people are not open with me as well, so maybe it was my fault, because i have noticed that alot of Colombian girls can be shy.

Where are you from Lucia?

You all coulda met up at my gig a couple weeks ago. There were 10 more of us there too. It was all over the site!

It is kinda hard to meet people if you don't go out.

BTW Lucia I'm sorry I never called your gaitero friend. I had a bunch of people I was supposed to meet that I never got around to because I just plain ran outta time.

me niether I live in the north, I have no idea where cedritos is??Mainly because I go everywhere in the car with mi novio, i think catching the bus makes it easier to get your barings.

but I know Zona Rosa,we go to the movies at the mall near there all the time. My friend lives in La Candelleria. We went dancing there in a cute little club full of young people a few weekends ago after a lovely dinner it was a great night and much cheeper than zona rosa, but not lacking in atmosphere at all.it was a little scary getting back to the carpark, i think next time we would take a cab, but other than that really charming.

I missed you girls by theree hours
I went to the same gym at 2:30 Pm, The gym is good it has also Tae box, Pilatos, Yoga, Strecthing, spinning I saw two foreing guys, but not blond girls. I like mostly outdoor exercise. Parque Simon Bolivar, Monserate, etc.
Maybe I could set up a meet-up at the gym, by the way every year they do a Halloween party. Sometimes at the gym or several gyms do the party at a night club.
