I don't think COPA makes that flight but TACA does from Panama City, Managua or Honduras.

I would check with TACA in Bogotá because you CAN fly TACA from Bogotá to both Panama City and San José. Also COPA to PTY then onto BZE-it ain't cheap brother. I believe there is also bus travel between both Panama and Costa Rica to Beliz but its got to be a long trip.

26 Dec. 1 way $785 , $1285 RT thru MIA

Same date BOG to Mexico City $623 one way, then buses if so inclined to Belize City

BOG - Guatemala City one way $486 then buses

Can get close for less but then have to travel by bus.

I don't know anything about it, but cities on the Yucatan like Cancun would be very close to Belize. Then, just take a bus down. I am not going to do the research, but there must be flights from Bogota to Cancun, or Bogota to Mexico City to Cancun, Bogota to PanCity to Cancun, etc. There has to be a better way than Bogota to Miami to Belize City. But who knows, maybe Miami is the cheapest way????????

Cancun to Belize City is around four hours by car - less if you throw caution to the wind south of the Mexican Riviera. This is by car - not bus. And, you have to go fast south of the Mexican tourist trap because you are looking at one of the most dangerous roads in Mexico/Central America. It is tantamount to driving from Cali to Buenaventura. The bus is safer but you are looking at almost seven hours - and if you make it through the "roadblocks" without a hitch please write me and explain the procedure.

well, a travel agent online told me the plane ticket to Cancun is like $900. So, the "bus to Belize" idea is really more expensive now, since I can get a plane ticket there, via Miami, for about $1000. I think that's about my best option.
